Musician Tom Smith - http://www.tomsmithonline.com - is a filker who did the famous Babylon 5 song "Five Years" and runs the filk track at Dragon*Con. I've heard him in concert several times at Dragon*Con, and own most of his cds. He's incredible and could work wonders at OSFES.

Filk... I'll let Rodney know. He's our resident filker! We'll see what we can do.

Tom Smith + Luke Ski = Hilarity and Musical Filk Goodness

Really... I swear. I mentioned Luke to some of the OSFES crew when they were visiting Digital Attitude a couple weeks ago.

I saw them together at that really big gaming con that doesn't need to be named and they were sooo awesome.

Luke can be contacted at http://www.thegreatlukeski.com

If I remember right he said he would go to events for pretty much transportation, room and board, and a table to sell CDs. And besides.. he is good friends with Tom.

Due to budget constrants this year - it is our first year - while we will have a filker guest, he will be a Program Participant: Eric Coleman. If this year goes well, we can expand a lot of program items next year. I would love to have concerts all day long like Demicon and Windycon do. JLS Rolling Eyes
