The guidelines for the Writer's Workshop we are proposing at OSFest this year are on the OSFest website: http://www.osfes.org/2008OSFESTWritingWorkshopInformation.pdf If you are interested, please let us know so we can decide whether or not to go ahead with this activity. John

This in from Matthew Rotundo, one of the fine authors attending OSFest.

"Hey, there, OSFest attendees,

I hope you're looking forward to next month's festivities! I know that I am.

John had asked me if I would be interested in coordinating a writing workshop for OSFest, as some of you had expressed an interest in such. I told him I'd be happy to, and even drew up some guidelines, which John was kind enough to post to the OSFest website.

I just wanted to remind everyone that the deadline for signing up is this coming Sunday, June 8th. The deadline for submitting your manuscript is June 14th. So far, I haven't heard from anyone. I trust this means you're all busy working on your stories . . . right? Smile

I want to be sure all participants have enough time to read all the manuscripts before the workshop--hence the June 14th deadline.

Of course, if we don't have any participants, I guess we'll have to (reluctantly) cancel the workshop.

I hope the writers among you will take advantage of this opportunity. If you have any questions about the workshop, I'm happy to answer them, either here or in private, if you prefer. Feel free to email me at msrotundo@yahoo.com.

Hope to read some of your stuff soon, and I'll see you at OSFest.

Best,

Matt

P.S. John, feel free to forward this reminder as you see fit. Thanks!

M"
